If someone would have told me 5 years ago, that I would quit my corporate world job and donate my time to veterans.. I dont know what I would have said. Now today, Im the Executive Director of the Military Veteran Project & each day I move forward carrying on my husband 's dying wish, living for him each moment because he can not.

It was a proud moment to be honored by my peers and fellow business men and women in Topeka, Kansas accepting my award for Top 20 under 40 business professional.  I accepted the award in honor of the man who forever changed my life.. my late husband SSG Jamie Jarboe.

Jayhawk Area Council Announces 2013 Honorees ofTopeka’s Top “20 Under 40” AwardNow in its fourth year, Topeka’s Top “20 Under 40” Award honors members of the Topeka/Shawnee County community for their commitment and contributions both professionally and personally. Community members are invited to submit nominations for the award, once nominated, the nominee is then sent an invitation to apply. This year over 150 nominations were received. Each year selecting just 20 honorees is a difficult task, this year’s selections were even more difficult as a total of 89 applications were submitted. The honorees are chosen by a selection committee comprised of 20 Topeka community leaders who spent countless hours reviewing each application.
